My name is Rebecca, and I am one of the many people unwillingly part of the infertility world. My husband Kevin and I began trying to have a child in March 2015, when we were both 24 years old. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in July 2016, and my husband was diagnosed with low sperm morphology shortly thereafter. We lived through our first failed IVF cycle in November. Nonetheless, we are both determined to beat infertility and have a child of our own. We started IVF #2 in January 2017 and hope to be one giant step closer to parenthood by mid February.

I have a life outside of infertility. I have a master's degree in statistics and work as a biostatistician in pediatric research at a local university. One of my (now) long-term goals includes becoming involved in reproductive endocrinology and infertility research--I think it would be the coolest thing to be part of finding a cure for endometriosis!

I enjoy writing, reading, experimental music, playing the piano, Lord of the Rings, making and eating delicious food, and spending time with Kevin. Fun facts: I was a committed vegan for a year when I was 21 (just to prove I could do it), I grew up in Hawaii, I'm 1/2 Peruvian, and have run three half marathons.
